New system for repeat prescriptions

We are introducing updated software for our online repeat prescription service. Over the next 2 months we will be transitioning existing users of the online prescription service to the new system. The new system is fully integrated with the practice software and for the first time will let patients view their list of authorised repeat prescriptions and pick the medicines they need directly from that list.

Every patient will need to be issued a personal logon and password in order that they can access their personal prescription list. Children and “cared for” adults will need their carer to register on their behalf. This personal log on will also enable you to book appointments on-line, and in the future the same log on will enable you to view some aspects of your medical record.

In order to roll out the new service gradually over the coming weeks we are asking that you register today at

When you have registered you will receive your login and choose your password and these will be emailed to you for your records.

Initially you will get a message to say you can only use the online access to book an appointment, however by the end of each working day at the latest the practice will authorise you to use the online repeat prescription request service and you will be able to log on and directly order.

If you cannot register for the online service online for some reason, you will need to speak to reception who will generate a letter for you with your log on codes which you (or your representative) will need to collect from the surgery. For privacy reasons we can only give the letter to parents of children under 14, or known carers of patients with mental incapacity. Please bring an item of ID.
